Choosing which environmental issues to highlight for children was tricky in that the desired outcome was that the subjects learnt would lead to practical action being taken by the children.
The cows eating plastic bags was the first example that came to mind, by clearing them up, children could make some impact. Also doing a river survey is very hands on and another good example. Most of the information in the flash flying man tool the children could read about but not neccesarily get involved with.
This is an issue that needs to be further researched or ingenious solutions created to make the children feel involved in a multimedia sense perhaps as a substitute for hands on reality.
